Kroger Trip – 10/29/09

Went Krogering after work and saved a bunch! Total before q’s and card was $179.03. After q’s and card . . . . $73.68!  Deals included 6 free bottles of Snuggle fabric softener, $1 Stayfree pads, .49 gatorade, free playtex gloves. Gotta love it!

It’s not too late for you guys to get in on the savings. The sale ends Saturday, October 31.

BJ’s Membership Club Coupon Exchanges

BJ’s Membership Club of Garner and Raleigh are offering coupon exchanges in November and December. I have been to two of these so far and I have been able to pick up some really great coupons.

All you have to do is show up! You do not have to be a BJ’s member.

Here are the dates:

BJ’s Membership Club of Garner (at White Oak)
November 9th – 5pm – 7pm
November 10th – 10am – 12pm
December 8th – 10am – 12pm AND 5pm – 7 pm

BJ’s Membership Club of Raleigh (Capital Blvd.)
November 17th – 10am – 12pm
December 15th – 10am – 12 pm

If you are taking coupons in to trade they do ask that you have them clipped and separated into the following groups:

Health & Beauty
Cleaning, Storage & Paper
Miscellaneous

Also, if you have any coupons that are expired you can take them in and BJ’s will pay to ship them overseas to our military families. They are able to use them for up to 6 months after the expiration date.  Please have these coupons already clipped and separated into 2 categories; food and non-food.

The air freshners were free after coupon and the throat drops were .25 ea. Peroxide was .29 each and the soup was .59 a can!

Let’s Go Krogering and Save $

The place to be this week is Kroger! From now until 10/31/09 they are having their Mega Sale where you can save $5 when you buy 10 of the qualifying products! I’ve heard that you can do up to 3 transactions at a time saving you $15.

Super Deal on Glade Candles at Target

Glade Holiday scented oil candles are on sale for $2.50 each. When you buy 5, you will also get a $5 Target Gift Card. There are some coupons out there that make this a spectacular moneymaker- even more so when you separate your purchases to qualify for the SC Johnson rebate that’s out here (buy 3 SC Johnson products, get a $5 rebate- you can do this 3 times per household). NOTE: You cannot use the gift card issued during your transaction on that particular transaction. You’ll have to hold it for your next transaction.

There are a few coupons out there for the scented oil candle holders. There are $1.50/1 that were found within candle tins earlier in the year. There’s also a $1.50/1 coupon that appeared in the latest Good Housekeeping issue (Paula Deen is on the cover). There’s also a $2/2 coupon within the Holiday tins themselves (please only remove these from candles you are buying!!!).

There’s also a couple of FREE coupons out there for refills wyb the scented oil candle holders. You can find these right now as blinkies at Kroger and Food Lion.

I believe this deal runs until the end of December so happy shopping!

UPDATE 10-30-09: I went to Target at lunch and they were running low on all of the candles. I was able to get 5 of the scented holders and 5 refill packs. All were on sale for $2.50 and I used 5 $1.50/1 q’s on the holders and 5 buy holder get refill free q’s for the holder. Total was a little over $5 and I paid with the $5 gift card that I received last week from doing this deal PLUS I received TWO MORE $5 gift cards. I’ve got just enough coupons to do the deal one more time. I sure hope the other Target has a better supply!

Welcome to my couponing blog!

Hello and welcome to my couponing blog! I never thought I’d see the day when I actually had a blog of my own. I’m a graphic designer by profession but I know absolutely nothing about web design. A friend told me how easy worpress is so I thought I’d give it a try.

The purpose of my blog is to share my tips and secrets on couponing. I’m by no means the best couponer out there but I do save quite a bit of money and I have fun doing it.

So pull up a chair and pour another cup of coffee and enjoy my money saving tips!
